The story of TequisArt began in 2004, when a lifelong dream became a reality. María Isabel Torres Landa García, driven by her passion for art, decided to embark on this adventure together with her group of collaborators and curators.

Ma. Isabel and the gallery's mission stems primarily from two main objectives. First, to position Tequisquiapan and the state of Querétaro as a leading art center in the Bajío region of Mexico. Second, to provide a space where both established and emerging artists can showcase their work.

Today, TequisArt continues its mission to be a leading art institution, led by Ma. Isabel González Torres Landa, daughter of the founder, who in 2019, after a life filled with success and art, lost her battle with cancer. Nevertheless, Ma. Isabel, honoring her mother's legacy and with the same passion for art, continues to carry on the dream.
